General notes

Newspaper articles on the 100th birthday of Henry Rosewarne appeared in 'The Register', 2 April 1915 and 'The Chronicle', 10 April 1915; and an obituary for him can be found in 'The Advertiser', Tuesday 6 June 1916.

Historical information

Henry Rosewarne (2 April 1815 - 5 June 1916) migrated to South Australia from Cornwall in 1840, with his wife Grace (nee Mitchell) and at least two sons - Henry Junior and John (born at Kenwyn, Cornwall, 17/12/1837; died at Lockleys, SA, 9/9/1924). John married Jane Hobbs in 1873 (his second wife) - children to this marriage included Alfred (born 29/9/1875, died 2/7/1936). The fourth generation is represented by Alfred's son Maurice John Fielder (born at Lockleys, SA, 22/4/1902, died 27/7/1960).
