Summary

River steamer "Emma" in the Dry Dock at Mannum. After placement in 1876 the dock had a tendency to float; rocks were packed on the corners and stakes were driven through the bottom before the sides were built up which achieved success. A young girl is watching the 'Emma' being replanked.
