Summary

[General description] A graceful tall ship, an impressive sight under partial sail (top sails not set). The caption of this photograph published in the 'Chronicle', August 30, 1934 goes as follows: 'A competitor in the Ocean Grain Race; The Finnish four masted barquentine, Mozart, 1749 tons, a competitor in the overseas wheat race, reached Falmouth last month after a voyage of 121 days. The Mozart left Port Germein, S.A. on March 14 last'. This was to be her last voyage as she is destined to be broken up for scrap at Troon, Ayrshire. She was built at Greenock on 1904. [On back of photograph] 'Finnish Barquentine Mozart at Falmouth after her 121 days' voyage from Australia / July 1934 / Reproduced in the 'Chronicle' for August 30th, 1934 / 1749 tons / Left Port Germein March 14th, 1934'.
