GENERAL: 'Nelson', the Newfoundland dog mascot of the first South Australian Contingent in South Africa photographed with a Colour-Sergeant of the Gordon Highlanders who has changed his dress for the Australian military uniform, pretending to ride him away from the military camp at Enslin in January 1900.
