Album containing 34 portraits of pioneers. Carte de visite of 'Mr and Mrs A.G.S.' It is suggested that this is Augustus Gooden Snewin and his wife Caroline Louisa Druitt in the Islington, England, studio of T. Howell. They were married in 1855, both aged 24. Augustus was the brother of Frederick Peter Snewin.
