Summary

Edward Angas Johnson was a surgeon, physician, meidcal administrator and local government councillor. In 1924-1938 he was Medical Officer of Health for Adelaide. He chaired the Adelaide Board of Health and among many other positions was Governor and benefactor of the Botanic Gardens. His hobby included collecting South Australian history. He was a Major in the Australian Army Medical Corp., serving from 1902-1920.
