Summary

STENHOUSE BAY: An employee of the Waratah Gypsum Company holds a horse pulling a small truck load of bagged gypsum along a track leading to the jetty at Stenhouse Bay where it will be loaded on to a waiting ship The man is William Thomson, the horse's name is Captain.

General notes

Also in Alb.B 62732.

William Thomson and Adolph Pfitzner were responsible for carting the bagged gypsum from Inneston to Stenhouse Bay. The track that they used is now known as the Thomson - Pfitzner Trail. The railway lines were made from Mallee until replaced by steel lines.
