Summary

Two small boys, out with their pony and a small wet dog photographed in a muddy paddock at Bimbowrie Station. The boys are Charles Alfred (born 1862) and Albert Edward Gare (born 1864), and are the eldest sons of Edward Barnard and Maria Gare. The boys' father was the Station manager from 1866-1873. The quiet little gre pony is mentioned on page 39 of Edward Gare's diary, which he bought for 11 pounds. "It was two years old and the boys were so delighted with him, they would ride him in about the house or anywhere."
