Summary

South Australia Company's Basin, Port Adelaide showing the wharf constructed in 1866-67, with the 'Pekina' and the "Coonatto" discharging. Alongside the "Coonatto" is the hull of the old dredge, converted into a spoon barge. The photograph also shows the Swing Bridge at the entrance to the Basin. In the distance is the old powder magazine (still standing in 1915). On the extreme left is part of Hall's Store. Berthed in the Basin are the Pekina and the Coonatto (on right) Compare with B5646 taken in 1865. This print duplicates part of B 2783.
