General notes

Peter Lynch, tuba player, was born in 1887 at Redbanks. He played in St. Marks band (Port Pirie) at and St James band at Jamestown. He had a bootmaker's shop in Ayr Street, Jamestown called Lynch and Dempsey. He died in 1941 and his obituary stated that he was a keen bandsman, took a very active part in football and athletics and was prominent in the social life of the town.
