It was not unknown for Moonta residents living elsewhere to use MOONTA VILLA as a house's name Joseph Edward Burgess, ex-Moonta, managed ruby mines in Myanmar (Burma) 1908-1915 and erected a sign above his residence in Shan States, "MOONTA VILLA".
