General notes

Parkin Hall was the community centre for the Coomandook district before the railway went through. It was not in the township of Coomandook but several miles out on Parkin Hall Road . Itl was originally built as a school, community centre and place for church services and always stood completely alone as it was built on a block of land donated by the local farmer and without provision for building blocks around it. Later it became exclusively a church, run by the Congregational Church but also used by the Anglicans on Sunday mornings and occasional other groups. [From information provided].
