General notes

[From information provided] the photographer was George William Cox. In his "Diary of events in his life from 1905 to 1928" there is his diary entry of "Jan 1st 1922: Had picnic. 4 Dinghys, Troys, Rennys, Tom & us. Took Photo." This photo includes his wife Lily Cox (nee Bell) and children Edward Cox aged 10 leaning against tree, Edith Cox aged 9 standing right of picture and Kathleen Cox aged 2. George Cox was the Grandson of old colonists William George Cox and Sarah Cox (nee Turner) who arrived in Adelaide in 1840.
