A 2'6" gauge train at Sassafras, Vic. with people standing around. A researcher believes this image was most likely taken at Belgrave. Sassafras never had a railway. Another researcher adds that Belgrave station was originally opened as "Monbulk". Up until that time Hill's townships and locations were imprecise. Kallista was originally known as South Sassafras and there is some suggestion that "Sassafras" figured briefly at one time as a descriptor of Belgrave. There were two names for Upwey (official) and a station name board,"Argyle" erected by a disgruntled landowner. The famous Belgrave (Horseshoe) Bridge has a number of locality names from Monbulk, Selby and even Emerald attached to it.

View of main street, Bairnsdale, Vic. A researcher has added: This is the south side of Main Street Bairnsdale, just east of Bailey Street. The building with the old car in front, is the former Victoria Hotel on the corner of Bailey Street, now the offices of Warren Graham and Murphy solicitors.

Argyle Cut, Argyle Street, Millers Point, Sydney N.S.W. looking east. Archway supports the Princes Street bridge above. Princes Street was demolished, c.1927, along with 'Merrimans Stairs' shown centre, for construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Argyle Cut was widened at the same time.
