Historical information

Arthur Barwise Hiddle, a local storekeeper owned the gramophone, which he used for performances, and would raise money for various charities and causes. He performed his gramophone selections at the Kooringa Wesleyan Tennis Club concert in 1899, at Baldina for the aid of the church building fund in 1900, and in aid of the Burra Benevolent Society in 1906 in the Methodist lecture hall.
