Summary

[General description] The sun has just come out on this scene of city buildings and wet road in the popular shopping area of Rundle Street. Horse-drawn vehicles amble along the road and pedestrians stroll along the footpath. The F.C. Catt Stores is next to a prominent utility pole whose wires cut across the top of the view. Two businesses on the left are Hyde's Book Depot and E.W. Cole, Stationer and Bookseller. [On back of photograph] 'Rundle Street / looking west / 27 May 1911 / Extreme left is 15 yards east of Francis Street / Right is about 30 yards west of Linde's Lane'.
