Summary

[General description] The single storey cottage on the left is about to be demolished like its neighbour (extreme left). The two storey cottage on the right appears to be in poor repair and may be next. Local children have gathered to have their photographs taken but unfortunately only their heads are showing as the photograph has been trimmed. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 2 / Newmarket Street, east side / 23 July 1930 / Left side of the one storey cottage is 34 & half yards south of North Terrace'.
