Little girl standing on wing of partially dismantled L14 F62 Super Electra VH-CXJ. Previously PK-AFP and built in 1938, the aircraft was sold to KNILM who operated it in Netherlands East Indies where it Suffered straffing damage prior to escaping Batavia ahead of the Japanese advance in WWII. Acquired by USAAF and operated by Allied Directorate of Air Transport (ADAT). Crashed at Rockhampton 8 October 1942, following overhaul delivered to Guinea Airways, Parafield who completed a major reconstruction of the aircraft. March / April 1944 flew between Parafield and Katherine before being replaced. Aircraft sold by War Disposal Commission to Harold Mortimer and Arthur Bergen for £25. On 22 February 1947 it was moved to the backyard of Mortimer's house in Guilford Avenue, Prospect (see The Advertiser, 27 February 1947, pg. 3) where it was used as a garden shed before being sold as scrap in 1975.
