Laurence John Martin (L.J. or Laurie Martin), became Managing Director of Hindmarsh Building Society was Secretary of West Torrens Football Club. During World War 2 West Torrens football club amalgamated for a time with Port Adelaide Football Club. Laurence John Martin became Secretary of the combined club.
