[General description] The main subject of this photograph is the premises of the Adelaide Hardware Company, a plain two storey building on the corner of Ackland Street where a mix of light industrial and residential buildings can be seen. Construction company Fox, Ey and Thomas also share this building. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 226 / Flinders Street, north side, looking up Ackland Street / February 20th 1929 / Compare with B 12929 taken in 1954 (Some alterations made between two storey building and iron shed on Ackland Street frontage) / Flinders Street frontage of Adelaide Hardware Company is 17 yards'.
