Summary

[General description] This view shows the Rundle Street / East Terrace intersection with city buildings either side of Rundle Street and traffic a mix of motor and horse-drawn. A dray parked outside of the Stag Hotel is laden with market gardener's crates. Opposite the hotel is the premises of E.B. Cox & Company, seedsmen. The Stag Hotel has existed on this site since 1849. The original building was demolished in 1902 and this Garlick and Jackman design was built on the site in 1903. F. Pecarovich is the licensee at this time. [On back of photograph] 'Rundle Street / looking west from East Terrace / February 8th 1929'.
