Summary

A group of Adelaide Rifles (probably the original F Company of the 10th Battalion AIF) at Morphettville Camp; Roy Olifent is 4th from the right, third row from the front. It has been suggested that Lt Louis Gordon Holmes is 7th from left in the 3rd (from front) row, with Lt Eric Wilkes Talbot Smith 9th from right in the same row. The the man between them is possibly George Ernest Redburg; all three are officers as evidenced by their pistols.

Douglas Roy Elwin Olifent was born 18 August 1890 in Adelaide, and enlisted on 19 August 1914 in the 10th Battalion, F Company. He returned to Australia on 8 October 1918.
