Historical information

This cargo vessel was built in 1936 at Vegesack by Bremen-Vulker for Unterweser (German). She had a single screw, diesel engine which made 13 knots. The vessel was taken over by the German Navy in 1939 and renamed the Sperrbrecher. She was sunk by an aircraft bombing in 1944.
