Historical information

This oil tanker vessel was completed and launched in 1928 under the flag of Great Britain. She was 8627 tons and the length overall was 140.2 metres. She was built by Lithgows at Port Glasgow, Scotland. The steamship coal fired a single screw propulsion, triple expansion steam engine and she reached a speed of 11 knots. She was owned by the Vacuum Oil Company and sunk by a German U-Boat torpedo fired in 1940.
