General notes

LHB Lasseter was in Canberra in 1926. He lived in Northbourne Camp and towards the end of 1926 he was joined by his wife, Louise, son Robert (then 2) and baby Betty - born July 1926. Lasseter had built a humble cottage at Russell Hill where 120 sites had been made available for men to construct their own homes. He wrote numerous articles under the nom-de-plume of 'Gleaner' - published in 'The Canberra Community News'. Lasseter and family left Canberra around August or early September 1927.
