General notes

An earlier photograph of this building exists, which was Philip Fry's residence and saddlery shop before it became the post office in 1856. Early meetings of the Kensington and Norwood Council in 1854 were also held in a room in this residence, rented from Fry for 16 pounds per annum. It stood on the south eastern corner of The Parade and Edward Street, Norwood. [Information provided by a great-great grandson.]
