Historical information

Florence Caroline Pearce (nee Whitehead) was born 1866, possibly at Calca, SA.,and was a daughter of John Whitehead and Mary Ann Hudson. John and his wife moved to Point McLeay c.1870, where John was appointed shepherd of "The Needles", near Point McLeay. Florence married Robert Venning Pearce 3 Feb 1885 at Meningie, SA. She later married Samuel Harris 9 Aug 1905 at Victor Harbor, SA. Florence died 27 Nov 1953, Adelaide, SA. (information supplied by a researcher).
