Summary

Grave of Sir John Hindmarsh, Hove Sussex. Old St Andrew's Church Yard Hove, Sussex, England. Copy of a photograph taken by Captain Felix Bolton, a great grandson of Sir John Hindmarsh, first Governor of South Australia. Forwarded to Sir Ted Johns of Adelaide by Sir E A Hindmarsh Stephen of Haberfield, Sydney, grandson of Hindmarsh and presented by Sir Johns to the South Australian Archives Department, 8th May, 1929. Tombstone reads ' Sacred to the memory of Rear Admiral Sir John Hindmarsh, Knt. KH who died on the 29th of July 1860, aged 76 years. Also in memory of Susanna Wilson, Lady Hindmarsh, the beloved wife of the above who died on the 2nd of April 1859, aged 73 years. Also in memory of Ann Hindmarsh.'
