Summary

King William Street, looking south from the Criterion Hotel to Victoria Square. The old Treasury building can be seen to the east. The photograph was taken at 2.30pm on January 25, 1929 to show the traffic. King William Street proceeds south through the middle of Victoria Square and three statues on plinths can be seen the middle of the road and on the corner of King William Street and Flinders Street. The Victoria Square gardens display large leafy trees over crisscross paths, and are enclosed with paling fences.
