Summary

[General description] View of the partially completed viaduct over steep gullies. Its work team (whose tents are pitched in the gully below) can just be made out in the centre of the viaduct, posing for the photographer. The hills are sparsely vegetated. [On back of photograph] 'Viaduct on the railway to Nairne during construction / c. 1882 / Presented by S.A. Johnson'.
