Summary

[General description] Guenther buildings contains a variety of retail shops. From left to right they are: O.K. Blum Optician and Jeweller, Guenther Chemist, Goodwin's Music Warehouse, Goldworthy's Shoe StoreWalsh and Jenkin, Mercers and Tailors. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 405 and part of 404 / Gouger Street, south side / 7 January 1929 / Guenther buildings were erected in 1927-8 / For view of shops formerly on the site see B 3372 / Site of new building: left side of building is 9.5 yards west of Market Street and frontage is 29 yards'.
