Summary

[General description] Boys wearing bathing suits sit on the steps under the new weir whilst onlookers look over the railings. The contractors were Messrs. Atkins and Finlayson and the cost of the project was 19,543 pounds. The two sluice gates are each 20 feet wide. [On back of photograph] 'New sluice gates, Torrens weir / January 1929'.
