Summary

[General description] This impressive two storey brick building is Georgian in style featuring a gabled tiled roof, cement pilasters on its facade and a verandah with heavy pillars. Messrs. Woods, Bagot, Jory and Laybourne-Smith were the architects. The building is partially obscured by deciduous trees in winter. There are gardens in the foreground. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 674 / South Terrace east / 1928 / Deaf and Dumb Mission and Angas Home / This building was erected in 1927-8 on a vacant site in front of the building shown in B 4215 / Left side of the Mission is 145 yards east of Hanson Street / Frontage: 31 yards'.
