Summary

[General description] The premises of J.N. Taylor and Company have been enlarged, matching the new corner building with the existing one. Universal Pictures occupy a section of the building. The round sign on the left reads 'Vehicles must not stand on this side of the street'. [On back of photograph] 'Acres 147 and 146 / Grenfell Street, south side / West corner of Hyde Street / May 20th 1928 / The near half of J.N. Taylor's was erected in 1927 / Compare with B 2262 / Grenfell Street frontage of new building is 23 yards'.
