Summary

[General description] The premises of Davey's Motor Engineers is a modern one storey brick building with plate-glass windows through which parked cars are visible. A bowser stands at the kerb. [On back of photograph] 'Acres 400 and 461 / Brown Street, west side / May 3rd 1928 / Davey's garage erected in 1926-7 / On this site was formerly a cottage standing well back from Brown Street with a frontage to Bartels Street (No. photograph in archives) / Site of Davey's: Right side is 51.5 yards south of Gouger Street / Frontage is 19 yards'.
