Two houses in a street; the location is unknown. The large house in the centre of the photograph is in an unusual architectural style, possibly North American, with bay windows on the ground floor rising to french windows on the second storey opening onto a pair of balconies. The unusual style roofing material rises to a 'widow's walk' flat balcony on the top of the house roof. The house next door is in conventional South Australian architectural style, with stone facade and brick side walls, and a wooden 'Queen Anne' style verandah across the front.
