Summary

[General description] Two shops, complete with a with a verandah, have been created in the ground floor of the Matthew Goode Building. The shopfronts feature plate glass windows with decorative leadlight panels above them. The tenants are Hillier which displays ladies fashion goods and R.A. Yates, Flowers, Plants and Seeds. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 19 / Stephens Place, east side / April 29th, 1928 / The shop fronts were installed in 1927. Compare with B 3297 / Site of shops: Left side is 24 yards south of North Terrace. Frontage: 10 yards'.
