Summary

Hussey Family. A researcher has provided the following information: "FOUR GENERATIONS." 'Observer' 22 February 1919. The older lady is Mrs Henry Hussey, formerly Agnes Neill. She married Henry Hussey, the son of George Edward Hussey and Catherine Burt on 11 November 1861. Henry Hussey is well known as an evangelist and also was secretary to George Fife Angas. The lady at the back is Catherine Jane Cheetham nee Hussey. She married James Henry Cheetham on 15 May 1888. Their eldest daughter Ruth Rubina, married Albert Ernest Hewett on 10 October 1911. The baby she is holding is most likely Kenneth Vernon Hewett born on 19 January 1915. The article in Trove was dated 1919, but I think it was an old photograph that they used. The c.1916 date on your site would fit better with it being Kenneth Vernon. Albert & Ruth Hewett had 2 daughters also, Esther Jean born 31 January 1917 & Kathleen Ruth 20 April 1920. The baby could possibly be Esther Jean but as the infant looks just a few months old, that doesn't really fit either. The family lived at Blackwood.
