Historical information

Service number 1265, Bugler Reginald Hales Finch was born at Naracoorte, South Australia, on 1 February 1896. He enlisted at Morphettville on 14 September 1914. Serving with 16th Infantry Battalion, he was wounded in action at Gallipoli and returned to Australia in February 1916. He re-enlisted with Service number 2607 in March 1916 and served with 32nd Infantry Battalion. While serving in France he was wounded in action for a second time on 26 April 1918. He returned to Australia in 1919.
