Historical information

Service number 1996, John Moore, was born at Adelaide, South Australia, on 1 January 1898 putting his age up by one year to eighteen when he enlisted on 14 January 1915. He served in France with the 50th Battalion and was wounded in action on 3 occasions, 16 August 1916, 4 September 1916 and 25 September 1917. He returned to Australia in 1918.
