General notes

Thomas Harkness and his wife Ann, nee McNaught. Thomas was town missionary for the Roberts Street Church of Christ. George Fife Angas and his son paid for him to care for the sick and destitute. He performed these duties for 36 years until he died in 1902. He came from Sanquhar in Scotland and arrived in Australia with his brother Robert and sister Margaret. His brother and sister were members of the Church of Christ in Alma South Australia. [from information provided by a researcher].
