Summary

[General description] A humble cottage with a striped verandah roof stands alongside the impressive Methodist Church at Moonta. The church is in the Gothic style and built of coursed limestone walling. The memorial stone was laid by Charles Drew on the 6th October 1873. [On back of photograph] 'Church in Robert Street. Built by Wesleyan Methodists. Foundation stone services 5 October 1873, opening services 2 August 1874. Cost of building 4,000 pounds. See 'S.A. Methodist Journal' for other details, issue Feb. 26, 1875. Note by O. Pryor.'
