Summary

[General description] Methodist church and hall behind a white picket fence. This church was built in 1880, designed in the Gothic style by architect Thomas Evans, Junior. A sign on the far left is inscribed 'King William Road School, principal Miss L. Maley'. Miss Maley conducted this Methodist school for 27 years until shortly before her death in March 1925 (information from The Register, dated 9th March, 1925, pp. 100). [On back of photograph] 'Unley Methodist Church / King William Road / Before 1927'.
