Summary

[General description] An interesting photograph of a group of workmen posing on the demolition site of a row of old cottages. One stands on top of the wall next to the chimney, another is silhouetted against the sky. There is a sign propped against the wall which bears the inscription 'Watch it come down'. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 486 / Nelson Place, east side / (off Carrington Street) / 21st November 1927. / Site of houses in course of demolition:- Near side is 37 yards south of Carrington Street. Frontage: 24 yards.'
