Historical information

The railway station just visible at the left of the photograph is the Emerson Railway Station, which is located in Black Forest. The suburb to the right of the photograph (on the south side of Cross Road) is Clarence Gardens, and the suburb where the photographer is located is Glandore. Much has changed here, as South Road is now [2017] elevated over Cross Road, but the house and business premises on the south side of Cross Road are still there, the house on the north side of Cross Road, toward the left of the photograph, is also still there.
