Summary

[General description] This row of stone and brick cottages have parapets that hide the corrugated iron roofing, and a wooden picket front fence. A group of men stand at the gate of a group of condemned cottages which display what appears to be a 'For Sale' sign. See B 2042 for a close up view of the cottages on the far right during demolition. [On back of photograph] 'Acres 316 and 315 / Grote Street. North side / September 27, 1927 / On the left is Morney Street. On the right is Byron Place.' (Another hand) 'All the cottages to the right of the 8th door and window opening were demolished in 1927. For a view of the building subsequently erected see B5033.'
