This event happened on 25 January 1901 just before midnight. The Whittenbury house was lifted by the wind and deposited in the street with the family inside. See the 'Advertiser' and 'Register' for 26 January 1901 and thereafter. It is likely the event was a mini-tornado. (Information supplied by Tony Rogers.]
