Summary

[General description] This photograph of Gollin's North Terrace building has been taken from the opposite side of the road. Walter and George Gollin founded the trading firm of Gollin and Company Pty. Ltd. in Adelaide in 1879. It expanded interstate and by the early twentieth century was represented internationally. Seen on the left is part of the Gresham Hotel. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 16 / North Terrace west, corner of Gresham Street / July 13, 1927. / Frontage of Gollin & Co.'s premises: 8 yards. / Cantilever verandah erected in front of Gollin's and a shop front installed in 1927/8'.
