Summary

The new building for R.G. Lock and Company, butter manufacturers and distributors. A parked van belonging to 'J.C. Richardson, Provision Merchant' has a sign on its roof advertising Electrolux appliances. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 627 / Willcox Street, east side / June 8,1927 / Lock's premises completed in 1926. Nature of the building originally on this site not known. Lock & Co. utilized a half finished building. / Site of Lock's: Frontage 11 yards. Near side is 49 yards south of Gilbert Street.'
