General notes

De Havilland Fox Moth VH-UQM was first registered to Holyman Brothers in September 1932 and operated by Tasmanian Aerial Services Pty Ltd. It was transferred to ANA in November 1936, modified for aerial ambulance work and chartered to Australian Aerial Medical Services of Broken Hill in July 1937. Dr. J.G. Woods was the doctor. VH-UQM was written off in a mysterious explosion on 6 September 1939. (Source Eddie Coates, Aviation Historian).

AAMS (S.A. Section) Bulletin No.6 records that on 6 April 1938 the Flying Doctor treated a patient at Mannahill and transferred them to Broken Hill hospital.
